You can restore your Nokia E7 to its factory settings through the
settings menu, by entering a code using the keypad or by using a
combination of buttons.

How it works

1. Restoring factoring settings returns the phone to the state it was
   in before it was first used so is a useful troubleshooting method if the
   phone isn’t functioning correctly
   
2. The first two factory reset methods below give you the option to either keep or wipe data you’ve saved to the phone
   
3. If you’re unable to get the phone to turn on, you can try the third
   method which uses a combination of the menu, volume down, camera and
   power buttons to restore factory settings. This method wipes any data
   you’ve stored on the phone

From the home screen, press the Menu button.

Select Settings > Phone > Phone Management > Factory settings.

You will now be presented with two options to choose from: Delete Data and Restore.

• Selecting Restore (preferred option) will restore the factory settings and will not delete your data
  
• Selecting Delete Data and Restore will restore the factory settings and will also delete any data you’ve saved to the phone.

After either of the above options has been selected, the phone will
automatically switch off and restart itself once the process is
complete.
